Superfest, International Disability Film Festival, bestows the following awards:
Best of Festival |

Spirit of Superfest |
given to a strong work in which a person with a disability has a significant role in producing the film |
Excellence Awards |
up to 2 works are recognized |
Achievement Awards |
up to 3 works are recognized |
Merit Awards |
up to 5 works are recognized |
Access Award |
recognizes successful approach to expanding the audience for disability films through captioning, audio description or other accommodations |
A new award beginning in 2005: |

Emerging Artist |
an unrecognized, but promising talent in media-making. To be eligible for this award, an entrant must have not yet received any awards for her/his work. |
Superfest judges work on panels representing the media field and the disability community. Their decisions are final and all entrants are welcome to inquire about the evaluations of their works.
Awards are made at the discretion of the judges; therefore, not every award is necessarily given every year.
